Custom jackets
The jacket is the most visible part of a team outfit, because it is the one worn outdoors — on a building site, at the side of a pitch, at the entrance of a trade show. It is also the most expensive: a wrong choice costs more here than elsewhere.
Softshell, fleece, windbreaker and parka do not answer the same need, and mixing them up is common. A fleece keeps you warm but does not stop the wind. A windbreaker stops the wind but does not keep you warm. The softshell does a bit of both, which explains its success — and its limits when it really rains.

Softshell: the compromise, with its limits
A softshell blocks the wind, resists showers and keeps some flexibility. Under sustained, prolonged rain, it eventually lets water through: it is not a waterproof. For outdoor work in all weathers, look at parkas and membrane jackets.
Fleece is worn as a mid layer
It is warm, light and comfortable, but lets the wind through. Its real place is under a jacket, or indoors. Many teams order the fleece alone and regret it once winter comes — better to plan a jacket over it from the start.
Embroidering a jacket needs care
Technical fabrics are thin and taut: a badly calibrated embroidery can pucker or perforate the membrane. We adjust the stitch density accordingly, and on some materials we recommend a transfer instead. It is a point we raise at the proof stage rather than after production.
Which marking suits this garment
On a jacket, embroidery gives the expected result and withstands outdoor use. On the most technical or thinnest fabrics, we sometimes recommend DTF transfer — the choice is made piece by piece, not on principle.

Frequently asked questions
Can you embroider a softshell without damaging it?
Yes, by adapting the embroidery density to the material. On softshells with a thin membrane, we reduce the stitch count and favour outlines over solid fills. When the material really does not suit it, we say so and suggest a transfer.
What is the price difference between fleece and softshell?
An entry-level fleece starts well below a softshell. But they do not substitute for each other: compare for equal use, not for equal price. The configurator shows the full price of each item, marking included.
Can the logo go on the back?
Yes, in large format, up to 30 × 30 cm. It is common on staff and site jackets, where the back is the most visible surface. A logo on the chest plus a line on the back is a very common combination.
Do I have to order all sizes at once?
No. The size range is composed freely, and a later restock does not repay the logo digitising. Many teams order a first batch and top up as people are hired.
